Aspartame and/or acesulfame K are in OTC products, the general pharmaceutical market place and many foods that are not considered sugar free at your market, even breads. Children's medications often contain aspartame, such as amoxicillin for example. Sucralose is used, even in combination with aspartame and high fructose corn syrup. Sucralose (Splenda) has its own range of problematic adverse reactions.
Safer alternatives are stevia, Just Like Sugar or agave.
