No Sun or Too Much Sun

At the same time we hear that children glued to their game machines have very low vitamin D levels, we also get a message saying "stay out of the sun".

We do need exposure to the sun to make vitamin D in our skin, but we also need fat in our diet to allow vitamin D to work properly and the calcium to which it is linked.

Those at northern latitudes, especially in winter, people of color, the elderly and people following religious dress rules need much more vitamin D intake.
